The Political Symposium of the European Forum Alpbach, taking place from August 30th to September 1st , takes on the question of how much inequality Europe can bear.

In twenty interactive breakout sessions participants will debate about various topics concerning the impact of inequality on democracy, European integration, and sustainability in order to suggest possibilities for improvement.

The GED team organizes one of the sessions having the theme “How to make TTIP inclusive for all? Towards a fair world trade order”. An animated discussion is expected, covering possible impacts of TTIP on third countries as well as solutions in order to turning TTIP beneficial for all countries.

Among the top-class panellists are Christian Burgsmüller, Expert de Cabinet of the Cabinet of Commissioner Cecilia Malmström – Trade, Stefan Kapferer, Deputy Secretary General of the OECD and last but not least the chief economist of the WTO Robert Koopman.

It will be a session of lively debate with hopefully some real solutions at the end.

The GED team will follow the event live on its twitter channel on Monday 31st so make sure to not miss any updates and information of the exciting session!
